Leilani currently lives in Nottinghamshire and works in democracy at a UK Students’ Union which she loves and is a whole hearted believer of constructing your life around what you’re passionate about.
She has a slight addiction to coffee, enjoys anything related to writing or reading, progressive rock and folk music and admits to pleasantly suffering from an unhealthy obsession with The Smiths.
She has previously written a couple of articles published by Slaney Street a Birmingham based news co-op and unfortunately doesn’t currently blog nearly as often as she’d like too. She’s working on it.
The blog title is a reference to the Castro District of San Francisco which was one of the first LGBT neighbourhoods in the US and was the home of Harvey Milk (May 22, 1930 – November 27, 1978) who became the first openly gay person to be elected to public office in California.
